Creating Stronger Contact Center Experiences | Chatbot Testing and Design

I led a UX team that conducted usability testing and conversation design for a chatbot and live agent chat platform for a large government agency that provides healthcare, benefits, and other services.

Developing Next Generation Engineers | Product Design

A few years ago, I led the UX research and design for a rapid prototype of a custom web application to centralize and standardize the way that a large organization within the federal government documented, assessed, and tracked the development of technical skills and abilities.

This organization included a diverse range of specialized departments with a highly skilled workforce in fields such as aerospace engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and cybersecurity.

The goal of this effort was to provide better insights into their workforce capabilities, enhance strategic planning at the highest levels, and ultimately ensure that they able to accomplish their mission.

Empowering Marginalized Crime Victims | Qualitative Research

I am currently leading a volunteer design project for a local nonprofit that provides case management and legal advocacy to victims of all types of crime. Our goal is to better understand survivor’s perceptions of the justice system and to identify opportunities for the organization to better service individuals from historically marginalized populations, such as BIPOC and LGBTQ+ survivors.

Whether it’s teaching data scientists how to infuse HCD methods into their requirements gathering or it’s talking with UX designers about what makes design for AI systems different than other products and platforms, I love geeking out over design for AI. Where some see the risks and dangers for over-reliance on artificial intelligence, I see far more potential to address some of society’s wicked problems and ultimately create technology that addresses real and compelling human needs.
